2026/27 RECREATIONAL TUITION AND FEES

MONTHLY TUITION: (Based on total weekly class time)

Most recreational classes are 45 minutes. Ballet 1 and above may meet longer or multiple times per week.

  • Up to 30 minutes: $75
  • Up to 45 minutes: $80
  • 1 – 1.25 hours: $100
  • 1.5 – 1.75 hours: $135
  • 2–2.75 hours: $180
  • 3–3.75 hours: $215
  • 4–4.75 hours: $245
  • 5–5.75 hours: $285
  • 6+ hours: $315

SEASON FEES:

Registration Fee: A non-refundable annual registration fee of $40 per dancer is due at the time of enrollment.

Costume Fees: A costume fee of $110 per costume is divided into two payments:

  • $55 costume deposit per costume is due in August.
  • Remaining $55 due in January.  

Costumes will be ordered in December. If a dancer ends up not participating in the showcase BEFORE costumes are ordered, the costume deposit will be refunded. If a dancer withdraws AFTER costumes have already been ordered, the costume fees paid will be refunded, but a restocking fee will be deducted. 

End-of-Year Dance Showcase: MK Dance Academy does not charge a recital fee. Instead, tickets for our annual end-of-year Dance Showcase are sold separately closer to the performance date

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Tuition is processed through automatic monthly billing. A 4% processing fee is applied to card transactions. Families paying by cash or check receive a 4% discount. All accounts must have a valid payment method on file, and final totals are displayed before payment is processed.

BOYS: We are excited to announce that for the 2026/27 season, boys dance for free! However, a non-refundable registration fee of $40.00 and a non-refundable costume deposit of $55 (per costume) are due in August, with the remaining $55 billed in January. 

POLICIES

 

TUITION: Tuition is based on the total number of classes a dancer takes per week. Our pricing is designed to be simple, consistent, and reflective of the quality of training, staff, and programming we provide. Our tuition is structured to be fair, transparent, and consistent for all families. Rather than offering multiple discounts or variable pricing, we have built our rates to reflect the full value of our program across all students. This approach allows us to maintain high-quality instruction, retain experienced staff, and provide a consistent experience for every dancer.

Monthly Tuition is based on total weekly class time and billed over a 10-month season. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.  Tuition is not prorated for partial attendance or missed classes. Full tuition is due regardless of attendance and/or holidays. Payments do not vary due to holidays or the number of weeks in a month. Tuition will NOT be prorated.  Returned checks for insufficient funds will incur a $35.00 fee.

 

MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS:  Monthly tuition is billed via auto-draft on the 25th of each month for the upcoming month of classes. Tuition may be paid by cash, check, ACH, credit or debit card. A 4% processing fee is applied to card transactions. Families paying by cash or check receive a 4% discount. Auto pay may also be set up through the Parent Portal on Dance Studio Pro.  Some classes require more than one class per week and student placement in those classes may be only with teacher approval.  Returned checks for insufficient funds will incur a $35.00 fee. Accounts not successfully processed by the 1st of the month may incur a late fee and/or result in restricted class participation. All families are required to maintain a valid payment method on file.

 
FULL SEASON PAYMENT: If full season is paid on or before the first lesson of the season, a 10% discount will be applied.  If a 2-installment payment plan is chosen, with the 1st payment on August 10th and the 2nd on January 4th, a 5% discount applies.  The paid-in-full and two-installment payment options must be paid with cash or check ONLY!  Returned checks for insufficient funds will incur a $35.00 fee.
 
REFERRAL CREDIT: For each student who registers for classes, current active students will receive a $20 account credit!
 
DISCOUNTS: A 5% family tuition discount applies to each additional child. 
 
 LATE FEES:  A $35.00 late fee will automatically be added to the tuition amount of those accounts where tuition is received after the 10th of the month. 
 
REFUND POLICY:  Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once they have been paid to MK Dance Academy.  We do not offer credit for missed classes.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.  MK Dance Academy does offer make-ups for missed days, but only until such time that recital routines are being learned, which is around March 1.
 
WITHDRAWAL:  If a student chooses to discontinue dance classes during the Fall/Spring term, a parent or guardian must give written notice. (Email is acceptable.)  Withdrawals may not be given verbally.   There are no refunds given for students who drop a class or discontinue taking lessons at any time during the term. Tuition will continue to be billed until notice is received.
 
MAKE UP A CLASS: Make-up classes are available to students who miss class due to injury/illness.  Missed classes will not result in prorated tuition or a refund. Make-up classes must occur within 30 days. Let us know if you need help finding a make-up class.
